Thijs Koelink
Creative Director

Thijs Koelink is a graduated photographer and self taught filmmaker, originally from the Netherlands. He translated his raw and graphic graffiti background into photographs and short films, both having the dynamic and in your face attitude that he found in street art.

Thijs Koelink studied photography in The Netherlands and was an intern at the Martin Parr – Magnum Photos – Office in London. His work has been exhibited internationally, from The Dutch Photo museum, Gallery Louiza in Antwerp to Saatchi&Saatchi Gallery in London.

Thijs Koelink is specialized in photography, film, exhibition concepts, branding, wallpaintings, (guerilla) marketing, magazines, graphic design, illustrations and vj performances.

Manuela Eringaard
Fashion Designer

Manuela Eringaard is graduated in Fashion Design at the Utrecht School of the Arts in The Netherlands. Manuela Eringaard has worked for Alexander McQueen during her internship in London.

She successfully proved her leading skills as a Store Manager for the Comme des Garçons Guerilla Store in The Hague and worked in the Yohji Yamamoto flagship Store in Antwerp. 

Manuela Eringaard and Thijs Koelink set up their first STUDIO AYQIDO Concept Store In Antwerp. With constant inspiration from Japanese martial arts clothing and philosophy, due to its timelessness, durability and minimal design. Manuela Eringaard is specialized in fashions shows, exhibitions, styling, design concepts and tailoring.

Ella Brooks-Sykes

Ella has been a lovely intern from Manchester, United Kingdom. She has been helping out Manuela with the fashion design, sewing, patterns, organising garments, photoshoots and so on.

A really talented creative to have around in the studio. Hope she was here permanently (^_^)







Bruno Slagboom
Fine Art Photography

Bruno studied Fine Art in Utrecht and is specialised in Art Photography. Thijs & Bruno participated in a group exhibition in 2014, their photographic architectural compositions met. Bruno has been an intern at STUDIO AYQIDO and now works as an independent Art Photographer and Gallery Curator at the studio.

“Sometimes I have to accept that one of the buildings that I was already working, is suddenly demolished. So the search for images takes place in the area around me. In the final phase the abstraction becomes monumental by the choice for extra large format prints.”
